Powerful Wireless Message from the Police Force Headquarters Abuja has sent a very strong message to twelve strong police officers in the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police to ensure efficiency and professionalism in their various Police Command Headquarters in the Country.
This is subject to the recent Police Service Commission approval on promotions of deserving and merited Police Officers on one side and the vacuum left opened by retirement of certain police officers in the other side, this is to fill in the gap created. There must not be any lacuna in-between all the various Police formations ,a source reveals to ARs in Abuja.
However, this is why the Inspector General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD, NPM who attained the age of sixty years (60) on Wednesday responded to release posting of Police officers ahead of time slated for the routine decorations of their new ranks.
While the country awaits the decorations of the recent promoted Police officers a wireless signal has been sent to various Zonal Police Headquarters and department to fill in the various vacant position occasioned by service Promotions, retirement and redeployment.
A source close to our correspondent reporter revealed that next week Police officers will be decorated with the new ranks while taking over the new posting subjects to the wireless message received which was a complete departure of the Police tradition. An anonymous source, quoted that, “the decoration of Police officers come first before the posting unlike what they just seen “.
Another source said that, “it is to the discretion of the Inspector General of Police to set up the time and schedule for decoration of police officers since it’s just a ceremony of recognition to the deserving police officers”. The source was quoted as saying.
According to the wireless message released from the Force Secretary of the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters Abuja, twelve police officers are posted to various Zonal Headquarters and Departments.
