He reminded the Governor that Hausa Okada riders contribute a lot during elections in Lagos State and the government shouldn’t stop their means of livelihood. He advised the government to get the data of Okada riders in Lagos State and fish out the criminals among them instead of banning the mode of transportation. The Seriki Hausa of Ajah, Ibrahim Ngoma, also appealed to Governor Sanwo-Olu to consider the voting strength of Okada riders in Lagos and reconsider the ban on the mode of transportation. He added that Hausa Okada riders will give Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the All Progressives Congress (APC) massive votes in 2023 if the decision is reconsidered. The Sarkin of Hausa in Agege said he believes that the decision is best for the state and he is not ready to counter the government directives.
