Sokoto State Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal have declared 24-hours curfew across the State, in the North-Western Nigeria after protests by youths happen on Saturday. The Governor said that the directive is to ensure that they restore “peace and order to Sokoto metropolis and the entire State.”Protests break out for Sokoto this morning as youths continue to express anger over the alleged abusive remark that lead to the killing of female student on 12 May, 2022. They want police to release the two suspects that they arrested in connection to the death of the female college student, Deborah Samuel.Miss Deborah, is a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education at Sokoto State, she die on Thursday by angry mob who killed her as they accused her that she allegedly blaspheme against Prophet Muhammad.
