Two Stolen Vehicles Recover In Obosi And Asaba -Anambra Police

ANAMBRA POLICE RECOVER TWO STOLEN VEHICLES IN OBOSI AND ASABA THROUGH INTELLIGENCE-LED OPERATIONS

The Anambra State Police Command has made significant breakthroughs in combating vehicle theft and armed robbery. On July 12, 2025, they recovered two stolen vehicles in separate intelligence-led operations .

The Police Public Relations Officer SP Tochukwu Ikenga, gave verbatim reports and explained the strategic process adopted leading to the twins achievements recorded during the operation. He validated the progress made so far and anchor on the regimented security prowess of the incumbent Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu PhD to combat crimes and Criminalities to stand still.

According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga on the released document he gave analysis as follows ;

Recovered Vehicles:

  • 2005 Toyota RAV-4: A red 2005 model Toyota RAV-4 with registration number YAB 122 AZ (Abuja) was recovered along Fresh Air Hotel Road, near Holy Trinity Catholic Parish, Odume-Isiowulu, Obosi. The vehicle was reportedly snatched from its owner by three armed men in Oba on July 11, 2025.
  • SUSU College School Bus: An abandoned school bus belonging to SUSU College was recovered opposite the Magistrate Court in Asaba, Delta State. This recovery was linked to a prior case reported on July 6, 2025.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, commended the swift synergy between the Anambra and Delta State Police Commands. He emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between sister security agencies in tackling crimes that transcend state boundaries. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
