Nigerians must ask questions
Since Governor Soludo took office on March 17, 2022, here’s a breakdown of what the Anambra State Government has received from the FAAC (Federal Account Allocation Committee):
Total FAAC allocation (state share): Over ₦243 billion in the first 30 months of his tenure
Monthly FAAC receipts (Jan–Aug 2024), ranged from an average of ₦10 billion to ₦13 billion per month.
This implies that in the first 8 months of 2024 alone, the state received over ₦90 billion, aligning with the ₦243bn 30‑month total
Local Government FAAC share:
Independently, the 21 LGAs under Anambra received about ₦162 billion over 30 months.
Summary
State government’s FAAC: ~₦243 billion
LGAs’ FAAC: ~₦162 billion
Combined FAAC since March 2022: Over~₦405 billion total federal revenue remitted to Anambra State and its LGAs.
Considering this huge amount received by Soludo, Ndi Anambra, do we have any completed landmarks projects that will benefit the masses from this money.
It is across the board in the federation. It is high time they must be subjected to people’s scrutiny and constructive questions must be asked. This is the situation in every government parastatal. Corruption and lack of accountability is prevalent across the line.
