ENHANCED INTERSTATE POLICING: ANAMBRA AND ENUGU COMMISSIONERS OF POLICE MEET, SYNERGISE, AND DEVISE OPERATIONAL STRATEGIES TO POLICE THE NEIGHBOURING STATES
Commissioners of Police from Anambra and Enugu States, CP Ikioye Orutugu and CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, met on March 24, 2025, to develop strategies for proactive policing in their respective states. The Anambra State Police Command Spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga has said in a released document sighted by Aiyekooto Reporters Correspondent reporter.
According to the Spokesperson, they identified the infiltration of criminals between the two states as a major security challenge and pledged to collaborate, share intelligence, and pool resources to combat violent crimes .
Their commitment includes decisively combating all forms of crime and criminality, ensuring maximum public security and safety. They also issued a warning to criminals operating in the two states, urging them to repent or face the law, SP Ikenga has said in the reports.
The cordiality established, enable both security personnel’s exchange ideas and enable synthetic environments to ensure a total crackdown on criminality and their penetrators.
According to the report, “this meeting is in line with the enhanced policing guidelines of the Inspector-General of Police, aiming to strengthen security and cooperation between neighboring states”.
