IGP ORDERS POSTINGS FOR NEWLY APPOINTED DIGs

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has assigned new roles to the six newly appointed Deputy Inspectors-General of Police (DIGs) and one Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG).

These strategic postings aim to leverage the officers’ experience and expertise to enhance operational efficiency and address evolving security challenges. A statement released by the Force Police Spokesperson, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi has said.

According to him, the new posting takes immediate effects to fill in the lacuna.

The New Postings are:

  • DIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar: Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID)
  • DIG Benjamin Nebolisa Okolo: Force Intelligence Department (FID)
  • DIG Williams Adebowale: Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
  • DIG Bzigu Yakubu Kwazi: Department of Operations (DOPs)
  • DIG Adebola Ayinde Hamzat: Department of Logistics and Supply (DLS)
  • DIG Idegwu Basil Okuoma: Department of Research and Planning (R&P)
  • DIG Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya: Department of Finance and Administration (DFA)
